The Supreme Court ruling in the Quill vs N. Dakota in 1992 said Quill, who had no employees and no physical presence in the state, did not have to collect sales taxes on office supplies shipped into N. Dakota. That's a far cry from having employees and distribution centers like Amazon. Also, I believe Amazon acts as a middle man for retailers who do have a presence in Tennessee. The jobs will be nice but are the thousands of retailers here in Tennessee and their employees being treated fairly with this deal that Bredesen cut with Amazon?

I say make them provide a list of who they sell what to in TN and then let Revenue and Taxation knock on doors and force payment of taxes by the buyers. That's the law.

Lighthouse, one in the left eye and one in the temple and you think the man is still alive? Nope, it was a good kill.

No big loss, he wouldn't have qualified anyway. Maybe he will grow up at JC or maybe he will join the crowd playing street ball around Orange Mound.

The Jews don't stone people in today's society and, we too, have moved on in our punishments. Just recently there was a guy released from the Texas Death Row, after 27 years, who was innocent and not just "not guilty".
