Don't Tread on Me...really.
Let's just get right to the point and make a decision; if the Multi-Cultural Chamber is going to continue to receive funding from the city, cut the same amount of funding from the White Chamber of Commerce. If the White Chamber can't take care of the needs of the city's businesses, cut it.
I am ashamed to think that this wonderful city of ours was duped into thinking that a "multi-cultural" anything was needed. This type of reasoning helps perpetuate racial stereotypes. By having the "multi" chamber, we are calling the existing chamber racists in a back-handed way.
I won't even go into who bought and sold the "multi" chamber real estate transactions, though this needs to be made public as well, from who the realtor and broker were, and who owned the property, and who signed the check.
