If guns are so evil why are they used an estimated 75000 to 2000000 times a year by civilians to stop crimes? Why did the Oregon mall shooter stop when he saw a legaly armed civilian pointing his gun at him. If the guns are so bad how does anyone ever get out of a gun show alive? Freud said that an irrational fear of weapons is a sign of sexual retardation.

Rick The report I read said fatalities. they may hace changed it since. The fact does remain that the attack happened and not one law could have prevented it. The Sandy hook dirtbag broke many many laws. More laws will not stop aomeone like him. Certainly restricting the rights of others will not.

Rick The same day as the sandy hook nightmare a man in china, where they have much stricter gun control laws , killed 24 innocent children with a butcher knife.

Sandy You are correct. We need to do more to stop violence . We need to end this foolish gunfree zone nonsense that lets deranged people commit such atrocities without fear of someone defending the children. We should strengthen the school resource officer program and we should offer training to teachers and princeples to both use firearms to protect the children and ways to do so without using them.

We also need to do more to control the mental disabled. If they are a threat they should be detained and evealuated.

We can also quit agrandizing these people by plastering every gory detail of them and their act all over the tv 24/7. It is time we quit making them famous.
