C'mon Pam... admit that the carry permits are up because we've done such a good job as a society, raising our kids with ambition, self worth, respect for others, and well... because Obama's economy and foreign policy is so strong.

Kudos on the event hall topic and money in politics...

I don't disagree with you about the corporate entitlements, and that most immigrants come for work. I also think our entitlements have evolved from compassion to a way of life for some. And that's sad, as it seems that would lessen one's ability to feel self worth and the satisfaction of achieving. Enjoy the pretty place up there. I think I've mentioned before that I have a cousin in British Columbia.

Good morning Nuc,

I agree with you we may have less jobs available for the reasons you note, but I think Obama has found other ways to "lure' them here...with promises of entitlements, that began as human compassion. Oh, please allow me to clarify my opinion, they are certainly entitlements to Obama, they were human compassion before his time.

How many people really believe it will be 10 years for them to receive a green card? And, I'll ask an honest question that I admit I don't know... What does a green card give them that they wouldn't already have other than permanent residency?

Uh...charivara, thanks for the reference to a blog? If you're getting your info from that oxymoranic site, no wonder you're confused.

To answer your question...I would refer you to the topic of this thread.

Geezz, you never know who you're dealing with here...

Rick, it may surprise you to learn that I agree with you about corporate and special interest groups needing to be removed from the political process. They serve no good in governing the people.

I do believe those two statements to be ambiguous, and here's why. In the first, it seems you are knocking people that want to think America is exceptional or special, blessed I believe you added. Then, in your second sentence, you seem to aspire to be a "truly great nation" if we'd just get over thinking we were special. ???

I agree we're both wasting our time here, as this seems to be no place for an honest discussion, just extreme bombs thrown at will.

That's why things are so divided now, very few people really want to have a civil discussion. People like you want to consider opposing opinions "incoherent ramblings."

Rick, no one said anything about being special or number one. If you knew me, you would know I don't want to be special or blessed, don't think I'm special, and am concerned for all. You are blinded by your inability to get out of your far-left bubble.

I find these two sentences from your past post ambiguous. 1) But the sooner we realize that we are just another country among all the other countries and we are humbled into acknowledging that we are all in this boat together, we might open our eyes and learn from those who are doing things better than we have been doing them.

2)We'll never be a truly great nation until we get over how "special" we think we are and we start ACTING great, not just THINKING of ourselves as great.

Rickaroo, you have the opinion that all conservatives and republicans don't care about the less fortunate, just because they realize for the producers to continue to provide for the consumers, there has to be provisions to determine the truly needy from the slackers.

You Sir, are the problem! You obviously don't realize there needs to be a balance between the two for all to survive.

charivara, if my understanding of your rambling writing above is correct, you think there have been some untruths written. Please show us your superiority and point those out.

PT, my easily manipulated, not rich conservative, conspiratorial ass, tells me that our theory of Obama trying to make us more like Europe is getting closer every day. Thru Obamacare, he's figured out how to get the US working an average of 30 hours/week. Now, if he can just get less of us working at all. Of course I don't want to give him too much credit...the Europeans were at least smart enough to get their health care implemented.

PT, we ought to be paying more attention to your current avatar. But, as it's going... it's undoing itself pretty well.
