Perhaps a group of good citizens in Marion County could organize and find homes for some of these poor dogs. It is sad to just have them roaming aimlessly all over the place -- dogs are worthy of homes and make wonderful pets if treated well. I have a dog and love him.
A little disappointed that VW went with the old name and did not significantly update the body style for this presentation at the auto show. It is hard to imagine they will reach their goal of being number one in the USA in a few years -- there is competition out there!
These comments are enlightening and informative and obviously well researched. I do feel the agency or entity or utility has room for review on salary increases -- that was my what my comment related to. It is not that other utilities pay more or less. The residents of this area are certainly blessed to have TVA benefits, no question.
No taxpayer funds? That part is good, if true, but this salary, bonus increase is unseemly in a time of national economic crisis. Wish we could have the "rest of the story."
These ideas and plans should be implemented and endorsed by local governments bordering Highway 27 -- towns and counties need to push for available funding and work together to generate attractions that will encourage appropriate businesses to support tourism: B&B's, motels, camping sites, restaurants, shops, interesting historic attractions, an informative web site, produce regular news releases, etc. Planning is essential; sign ordinances should be implemented and enforced and the public should get behind this project. Congratulations to the leaders who have encouraged the study and who have already seen the potential in this project. This is a start.
Cordell Roberts has made an excellent point in defense of freedom of religion -- as opposed to freedom from religion. The Wisconsin Group has a negative agenda against constitutional issues and should be ashamed of themselves;but of course, they are not, they want publicity and veneration -- surely our students can see the purposes behind this invasion of personal freedom. Good luck to the Soddy-Daisy prayer group! I support them totally!
How inspiring it is to see our students pick up on the heroism of the WWII veterans and their contributions to our freedom. My late husband was a WWII veteran and I feel the attention given to the Greatest Generation is earned and deserved and it is gratifying to see any commemorative action in that regard. Thanks to all who participate in this memorial to our WWII and other veterans who have sacrificed so much. God Bless America!
This will be a painful rehash for the family -- and uncalled for since the other substantive evidence has provided adequate proof of guilt. Time to pay the piper and stop whining.
Tolerance: -- it works both ways; a public prayer or silent prayer never hurt anyone; perhaps a few of us could benefit from the exposure -- especially all of those who would prohibit the free exercise of religion. If there are those who find it that offensive, just find another form of entertainment for yourselves.
