What's wrong with America? I'd say it's more on the side of the willfully ignorant, science-deniers. Larry Gordy, to say you came from a monkey would be an insult to monkeys. Do some actual research on evolution and the mountains of collaborative evidence that backs it up. To me, it's a very spiritual feeling knowing that all life on earth is related on a grand scale.

I guess Mr. Hale thought adding the "Dr." to his name gave credibility to his homophobic and inaccurate statement. Well... It didn't, sorry. No matter how much you kick and scream like a child not getting his way, GAY MARRIAGE WILL EVENTUALLY BE LEGALIZED. And the world will continue to turn, life will go on just as it always has.

And wow, what are the odds of the psychotic Mr. Orr-ifice making an appearance on a letter section concerning gays? I think the only other person more obsessed with what gay people are doing in the privacy of their own lives and homes is Fred Phelps. And sir, you are not too far away from his lunacy.

If the cameras are or aren't hurting business, it's great they are finally getting rid of them either way! This is the kind of big-brother government we should be avoiding! People occasionally running red lights are no reason to go putting up spy cams everywhere to take our picture and send us tickets in the mail. What a waste of time!

Even after stopping for a long period of time, I'm still hesitant to make a right turn on red at these lights in fear of them sticking me with a wrongful ticket. I don't like living in unnecessary fear!

Jennifer, you are asking the wrong question. The question is, why should Christians be exempt from ridicule and offense when everyone else must just deal with it? Like us nonbelievers when we speak up for our rights. We are told to sit down and shut up because we are the minority. Well, sorry but things don't work like that in this country. All have an equal voice and equal rights here.

And Leonard, NO ONE IS TRYING TO TAKE AWAY YOUR RIGHTS TO PRAY. You can pray anytime, anywhere and as often as you wish! What us who are against these prayer issues are up in arms about is when a government or public school official gets up in front of a crowd and forces EVERYONE to listen and take part in these religion-specific prayers. You should only be okay with this situation if you would also allow a Muslim, Jew, Wiccan, etc. get up and pray after the Christian one has been offered. But in private, or in church, prayers are great. Go for it!

Mr. Orr, I think you need to find some better hobbies to spend your time on. I frequent this site and it seems like there are few pages without your ridiculous rants repeated incessantly. You are not helping anyone by this, in fact, I would think you are more of a hindrance.

Your messages are always the same nonsense, almost like you are just copy and pasting this mess again and again. I'm sure you are well aware of the definition of insane, aren't you? Doing the same thing over and over while expecting a different outcome. Get psychological help NOW, sir.

Awesome post, Dayton and Happy! I'm amazed at the number of people around here and involved in this situation that simply cannot understand Separation of Church and State. No one is trying to say you can't pray in public, but a government official CANNOT get up in front of a government meeting and endorse any specific religion while "on the clock", per se. Got to love the Bible Belt.

I'm not a huge Obama fan, but if you think Romney will be better and has your interests in mind, you aren't that smart. Will definitely be voting for Obama.

I want to see the birth certificate for Donald Trump's hair. It's amazing the lengths anti-Obama nuts will go to in order to make him look like a communist, non-American Muslim. All the while, doing so just to cover up the fact they don't like him because of his color.

World, have you not researched the other countless Supreme Court decisions in favor of separation of church and state? The cases blocking the ten commandments from being displayed on government grounds, and outlawing prayer from schools and other government functions. If the commissioners are arrogant enough to keep spouting off their Christian prayers and this issue must go to court, then they WILL lose. No doubt.

No one is trying to say you cannot pray, just don't do it at a government meeting where not everyone is of the same belief system. Or else allow everyone of all religions to pray. I'm in favor of that, because it is inclusive and fair. I myself don't see the need for prayer in any of these meetings. Do you honestly believe praying actually has any influence on the outcome of the commissioners decisions? I think to believe so is hopeful, at best.

It's like when you're at a football game and both teams pray for victory before it begins. Who is 'god' supposed to listen to and favor, the team that prayed the hardest?

Oh and by Obama's spending, I'm not including the stimulus. That wasn't his fault, he was just dealing with it.
