The first round of sequestration budget cuts should be pay and benefits for all of Congress, past and present. They are the idiots that created this mess in the first place.
When 80% of vehicle accidents are caused by distractions, and cell phone use when driving is compared to DUI, it is a stupid question. There should be a law as harsh as the DUI laws against using the cell phone or texting while driving.
Driving and using a cell phone is a clear and present danger to everyone on the road.
Granted, the kid (Wamp) is a bit wet behind the ears but I do agree the Occupy Group needs to roll up their sleeves and get to work turning out the voters to throw every Congressman out of office that doesn't support term limits, change the laws that Congress has to live with the legislation they pass, like social security and last but not least, no Congressman or their staff should be able to work as lobbyists after their terms expire.
Close down these clubs and institute a curfew or wait until the situation gets so bad that the National Guard will be called in.
This level of continuing violence is unacceptable and a cancer on the city. Our community leaders need to take the blinders off and work some viable solutions.
I am clueless about this whole section 8 housing issue, what does one need to do in order to qualify for section 8 housing ? I can understand why the rent subsidy is going down in light of the economic conditions and the overall housing market being poor.
Good cartoon, sad but true. If we still had a draft we wouldn't be fighting these stupid wars for as long as we do and the politicians might be a bit more judicious before sacrificing our youth. Check back in a couple of years and see how well off, Iraq is. As far as our current flock of GOP candidates wanting to start a war with Iran, none will be getting my vote.
