I read this article yesterday and started wondering about a few things....I started developing kidney stones 10 years ago, right at the time I moved back to LV. I think I will have my water tested.I also know several YOUNG ladies that have recurrent kidney stones from in this area....things that make you say hmmmmm... I do agree that some tings need to STOP and that ruining our ECO system to make a dollar is going to have repercussions.ALL the money in the money in the world wont cover up those repercussions down the road....pun intended

IMO the council members who approved this should have their heads examined. The council members who abstained should have stepped up and voted against it , instead of being afraid of offending anyone. Lastly Kudos to those council members who stood up and voted NO. I would have thought that Doug Stein would have had more respect for himself than lower his standards and ask for TIF money to help in his endeavor. Its a sad day to see a educated business man turn into a WELFARE recipient. Poor pitiful Doug.

This is just sad...I do agree with the above poster that there should be some type of safe house or drop off for those who no longer "want" their children...instead of them opting to dump them in a ditch! The children are not at fault...

Sorry to say this story reached the national news...It just saddens me that any of this crap goes on...trivial arguments that lead to horrific violence??...We only have this one life...we dont get a repeat...wished people would really take that message to heart..

This seems to be a reasonable resolution to the problem. Sangaree? As for the children being put in cages...They are placing them selves there by not following the RULES. Each person is responsible for thier own actions and choices.

I am a smoker....and yes while smoking is a nasty habit, it is also an addiction. I am all for incentives to help one quit. I am against "forcing" people to quit. It is discriminatory and those who dont see that are blinded. Heres a thought! Open clinics that offer incentives to live healthy, equipped with personal trainers for physical fitness and Nutritionists for healthy eating , and if the insurance companies would be cooperative they would put nicotine gum, the patches and chantix as a covered expense to motivate smokers to quit! Wouldnt that be a win-win combination? I wonder what Memorial is going to do for those employees that are smokers? Are they going to offer them incentives to quit?

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL.....Thank you all for the laughs...I guess my own two cents would be that the cartoon was about "stocking up"....Those who cant get out shouldve stocked up and called their bosses and let them know...Then they could have relaxed and sat back and had a marvelous movie marathon and ate snacks and drank beer and ..well....you get the drift...no pun intended....LOL Hope every one has a great weekend!!!!

OK I can see both sides of the camera issue. I think the ones on the S curves make sense. I have personally witnessed people trying to race through there in past years. However I dont believe we need cameras at a bunch of intersections downtown..i think there is about 13 now. I also think it is entrapment at the Brainerd Tunnels...

Audit their personal finances...Audit thier daily work schedules. Put blocks on all job related assets, IE work cell phones, work computers,.....enforce a daily printout of thier work related activites. In essence...Hold them accountable to the people for the privilege of holding office.
