Yeah I can't say race the people involved were. All I'll say is the last time I went by Fathom, it was about 400 white people going in there. So let's not necessarily jump to the conclusion that they were black.

Secondly, there were hundreds of people in that club. Only 1 or 2 pulled out a gun and started shooting. Why is the whole room being condemned over that?

This is what you call lumping the whole group in together. I'm a black female in my 20s, no kids, never been in jail, got a college degree in computes, work at good ass company probably making more than half of you racists.

I can say most of my black friends have a similar story. I see all the racist comments by white people on here and yet I don't lump in every white people because a few are backwards and ignorant.

"As much as I hate to say it, we created this situation by allowing people to become dependent on government handouts and programs. It has progressed to the point that I have no idea what the solution is, unless we force these people to go to work for their own good. Victims of "entitlement programming" can't possibly have any self-respect. :("

Is this a JOKE? Do you know who was on welfare? A woman by the name of Whoopi Goldberg. And now she has more money than you will EVER see. People who need help in their lives aren't automatically people with no self-respect. And what the HELL does that have to do with a boy getting abused/murdered by a crazy man?

Do you know how many rich kids in the suburbs have been beat/kidnapped/murdered? Turn on the news! You've lost your mind. Seriously.

@dao1780

First off, are you saying she should have had an abortion? Because I bet you're in the same camp that would say she shouldn't but then criticize her because she need public assistance to help raise them.

So on 20,000/yr BEFORE taxes, you think someone might not need public assistance? You have to feed you, your two kids, pay rent, gas money, lights, water, have money for unexpected bills, gotta get your kids clothes, pay for school-related items...and you think it's crazy that someone might need public assistance? And do you think the bank is going to sell an 80,000

But besides the point, this is COMPLETELY unrelated to this. Do you think poor parents = bad parents? Cause Case Anthony was doing alright for herself before she MURDERED her child and got off with it. Jon Benet Ramsey's parents were just fine before she was found MURDERED and no one knows what happened. What about the girl that JUST went missing in the middle of her parent's custody battle? Gone! Not seen! They aren't poor either.

Just saying.

You are an idiot. I've known DJ (the father) for YEARS and, just so you know, he works at a factory full time. Before that? He had 2 full-time jobs. Not only are you prejudice, you're probably a racist too. If you were working minimum wage jobs and had a wife and two kids to provide for, you might need some public assistance as well. The poorest people I know are the HARDEST workers.

My best friend busts his ass in a factory 60 hours a week. I work in a computer helpdesk making nearly twice what he makes and I do half the work. So please, try to learn something called empathy and compassion before you go judging people. I think the mother should absolutely be in jail for all this and that DJ might could've done more to save his child but don't throw him under the bus like HE'S the one who threw his child down the stairs.

Something could happen to your children right now if you aren't around. Does that mean you're a bad father? Bad things happen. Period. We can't prevent them all.

SGTWRIGHT may be his name but he is a fool. I've known the family for YEARS so let me throw away some misconceptions by people who have no idea what they're talking about.

1) They BOTH had full-time jobs. 2) He saw his kids as much as he could, being a father working 60-80 hours a week to make sure he could help take care of them. It's so prejudice to even think they don't have a job because they need public assistance. It's also stupid to think that, especially now when he son is going to have a trillion medical bills, that he would quit his job. So yes, he checked up on him when he could get away. It's admirable that he can hold on to his responsibilities at a time like this. 3)Don't make him out to be a dead-beat dad. Some so soon forget he MARRIED her, but like 50% of marriages in America, it didn't work out. He loved her and he loves both his boys with all his heart.

I think she should be in jail. I know her, I don't wish anyone ill, but she let her kids get abused and she needs to pay her time for that. However, let's not all go crazy, jumping to wildly prejudice/racist conclusions because they have black skin and are poor.
