This was a major setback for students, taxpayers and academic achievement. Winners of course were the unions, bureaucrats, and administrators. Now we can get on with funding more multimillion dollar stadiums, acoustically perfect auditoriums, lavish food courts and on and on. And of course we continue to live under the threat of losing our homes if we resist. Let freedom ring.

The Chamber, the Restaurant Association and the Home Builders are opposed because they want cheap labor now. I'd remind those interested in the long term that if cheap labor is legalized, it won't be cheap any more. Because restaurant and construction jobs cannot be exported, these organizations will clamor for more cheap labor. Does anyone believe they give a damn about doubling the unemployment? About the tax money required to double the welfare population? About lowering the American standard of living? E-Verify stops much of this nonsense.

Only illegal aliens and their support organizations are opposed to the E-Verify system. It's not perfect but it's 97% effective. It's also the best tool we have and will be until we can afford bio-metric identification of these scofflaws. Even when illegal aliens are collared, 80% are set free to re-offend. Support this system if you value American sovereignty.
