I want to know who got the blue jeans from Buckle? That should be a reason for termination.
Any wonder that every employer that he has ever had has let him go. Interesting that they have all been on the taxpayers dime. He could never make it in the private sector. I agree trade the goat for the ass.
Well Mr. Branam you have succeeded in staying out of East Ridge and out of touch for the last two weeks and now with your obviously uninformed decision to keep John Anderson you have not only let the citizens down but have given someone prone to gouge the City over fees a blank check book to do as he pleases.
My predicition is that John Anderson will leave East Ridge as the City Attorney but only after the Council has allowed him to suck the City dry. Then, when there is no money left, he will gladly leave the post.
Give us a break. Why have a public interview process when only one candidate came forward? Why have interviews when all the citizens that came to the meeting were clearly in favor on Marc Gravitt. He was the only person that the citizens spoke out for. Even when the Mayor asked for other candidates or citizens for other candidates no one spoke. The Mayor is just trying to drag this out so he can hand pick a replacement. Mr. Manning and Mr. Sewell we urge you to get with Mr. Bethune in support of Mr. Gravitt and don't leave it up to Lambert. What kind of person would even want the seat when the citizens have been so firm in their support of Mr. Gravitt?
As for running in 2012 Mr.Carter...DON'T BOTHER!!!
Go ahead and give it to Carter. He will get bored with it in 6 months time and walk away like he does everything else.
Citizens just need to connect the dots here...
This whole thing really begs some questions about the City of East Ridge. For instance, where in the minutes of the meetings did the council vote to negotiate the purchase of this property by City Attorney John Anderson? If Mike Steele participated in these negotiations as indicated by his prior knowledge of Mr. Chen's interest, shouldn't he have told Mr. Anderson that the City had not authorized these negotiations? Hold it, as the attorney for the City, wasn't it Mr. Anderson's job and duty to follow the rules and only negotiate for a $350,0000 purchase after being authorized by the City Council? Does Mr. Anderson and his firm represent Mr. Defoor or his bank like he does Mr. Steele his partner Mr. Armour and the City? Get rid of all the back room deals East Ridge.
Well it appears that it is more business as usual in East Ridge. The Council wants to do what they want when they want without any input from the citizens. What they are proposing no citizen concerns ever see the light of day. They are submitted to the City Manager and a response is given back to the Citizen in writing. No one else ever gets to even hear the response. Why don't they just go ahead and go all the way and just abolish public meetings all together that way they dont even have to worry about the citizen's listening to what they are doing. Face the facts, the "leadership" in East Ridge has become so accustomed to their back room deals that they can't stomach the thought of citizens having any input. You know something is wrong when the Council doesn't want citizen involvement.
