I agree with VoiceofTruth...check out the way the temp agency is running Amazon. My son was hired through the temp agency. He was suppose to start on a Wednesday night, so he stayed up the night before so he could sleep that day and be ready to work that night. He received a call that day and was told that they had hired too many for that week and he would need to start the next Wednesday. They were also told at the orientation that the new hires should show up two hours early as they only would take on so many news ones each week. This reminds me of a concentration camp of people waiting in line. He was hired and given a quota of 75 orders to pull...the quota kept going up each night until it was 250. When he didn't make the 250 mark that night they told him to come in on a Monday along with five others, they were let go but could come back in 3 months to work again. Seems like they are running up the number of employees to look good ...but not keeping them employed. I read on an Amazon employee's facebook page that the Amazon employees were upset because the temp agency was hiring too many temps to work and taking their overtime. Employee against temp employee not good working conditions.

Was she one to always wear her seat belt? If you are in the habit to always buckle up she would have had your seat belt on and hopefully still be in the car. Hopefully tomorrow and in the days to come will give answers to a lot of questions. Still puzzling as to why she would leave her drivers license on the kitchen counter. Just speaking as a woman..... habits it all in the habits we have.

What does STARS offer to the area high schools? As a parent of a high school student I see very little if any at all. I agree that parents need to be more involved but if the program is getting any funding at all to provide service to our students they need to do so.

My son was a student at another Hamilton County Middle School several years ago and was also bullied by a student in PE class. When I called and spoke to the coach over the class and told him what was going on his remark was, " that is one of my football players and I have had him for several years as his coach...he wouldn't do anything like that." I told him I would go to the principal if it didn't stop. He called me back and had talked to the boy and was surprised that he admitted to bullying and he told him to stop or he was off the team for good. No other problems while we were at the school. But please be aware it is not just the boys...girls are also involved but perhaps get away with it more...I would say they probably call it "drama". These boys involved should be expelled from Hamilton County Schools...no student should have to go to school in fear.

I agree with jeepgirl....The principal of Dalton is only thinking about those 51 consecutive seasons of winning football. Her statement of..."Had Southeast contacted anyone at Dalton High School as soon as he knew, we would have handled this situation immediately." She didn't say "we would have looked into it"...Sounds like she knew but didn't think someone else knew.

It just amazes me how things can change so quickly. You know it use to be and possibly still is that the only blacks that were on Signal Mountain were the ladies that rode the bus up and down the mountain to clean the white folk's houses. Now look at you ....get a good ball player that can help you all out in wins and you rally around him. But what if all the students that come up the mountain from Howard wanted to be your neighbor.... would you love them as much? They might like to have one of those brow homes like you....or play golf at your exclusive "country club". You better watch about what you wish for...Signal may never be the same.
