That's a great idea for motivation and fundraising. I hope I can run it.
Not that I don't think that what she accomplished is great, because it is, but why not also praise those that managed to not get themself pregnant at such a young age. So many times people who have overcome great obstacles, drug addictions or teenage pregnancies, get all the praise. These are situations that they put themself in and could have been avoided. Why is it that the people who stood up and became doctors or lawyers or entrepreneurs or whatever aren't praised for avoiding peer pressure and not getting themself in the situation to begin with? It is just as hard to stand up and be thought uncool as it is to deal with the hardship created when you don't. It would have been just as great an accomplishment if she hadn't gotten pregnant at 14 and she had come from a middle class family and had to work her way through school.
