Thank you so much for sharing this story! We have been using AP with our children (ages 2 & 4) since their birth and really feel that connection, empathy, and respect foster an environment where both children and parents can thrive.
As a member of API and a support group leader, I love all the support and resources I've received from other AP families and from API.
When you do decide to have children, it sounds like they will be lucky to have you for their mother--you've done your research early, and that's the best way to go.
