Every teacher in Hamilton County needs an advanced degree but the board that gives them direction does not. In fact some current board members do not even have a college degree. Who in their right mind would call a hair stylist if you needed work done on you car? Or a hair stylist if you had a cold? It is folly to think that a board can work stocking it with people solely based on the fact they can win a popularity contest. We demand more of our teachers we should demand and expect more from our board members.

Being hammered at Alleia on Saturday night is a great way to raise money and awareness for the job of a Congressman.

Banana Republic of Chattanooga. The inmates are running the asylum. Do any of the D-Bags behind this recall want to step up and actually be Mayor? Anyone who signed these petitions have a hankering to throw their hat into the ring should this recall go through and run this city? Put your money where your mouth is or please just get to the back of the line and shut up.

I recently had the pleasure of watching Mr. Shane perform storytelling for my daughter's Normal Park Pre-K Class at the African American Museum. Shane held the children in rapt attention from beginning to end. His enthusiasm and unbridled joy for his work was evident to all who witnessed it. We are all truly blessed to have Shane as a member of our community, a man who's talent impacts young and old alike.

Not religious nor conservative. I find it extremely easy to ignore the religious community and who cares about a persons political persuassion when dealing with them on a personal level anyway? I'm orginally from Connecticut and have often said while Connecticut may be politically liberal it is socially conservative. I think the exact opposite is true of Chattanooga. People of all persuassions are warm and inviting here. Sounds to me like Chuck Thompson is a close minded individual. When someone chooses to associate with others who only share their own value system, whether they tend to be liberal or conservative, they are unable to look past silly labels.

Anyone who's ancestors are not Native American shame on you for having the audacity to judge anyone who risks all to come to America, just as your family did.

Anyone that would consider Rhonda Thurman a "actual educator" is delusional. Plain and simple Ms. Thurman is a hairdresser. Hairdressing is a fine occupation but since when does this qualify one to judge the competency of a man of Dr. Scales experience in the educational field?

Lupi's, like any other pizza in Chattanooga, is a fiasco. There simply is not any decent pizza in this town. Alleia is good, not great especially for the prices, and Greenlife is serviceable. Other than that what passes for pizza in this town is simply a disgrace. Lupi's wouldn't stay open for a week in the NE. They should thank their lucky stars their in a area where people have not been exposed to authentic pizza.

In the immortal words of Nine Inch Nails "Bow down before the one you serve. Your gonna get what you deserve." Lane Kiffin and USC have gotten what they deserve...each other.
