just for the record "The Warehouse" is its own non profit organization that leased a room from Tim Reid and the Mosaic church. Mr Dodd, please know that they are a separate entity and teen outreach!
sorry not trying to call you out, everything else you have said is dead on and i agree, i just hate to see my buds (warehouse) get lumped in with the mess. They were in East Ridge for 3 years before moving downtown and only made the paper for helping the community kitchen and helping with the homeless of chatt..good folks!
melis4le is somewhat right in that it could happen anywhere and anytime...but on the flip side of that it does have alot to do with keeping things organized and managed correctly. I do think the teens need a place to go, but when the teens act the way the do sometimes its hard to push through that and give them a place.
To lump all of the folks together that meet at that address is also not right to do. The warehouse venue is a tenant at that location and leases their room from the mosaic church...They had nothing to do with the events and have been there for a year with not a single police phone call..Also a place called River City church rents out the facility on Sunday mornings, and another small church which meets downstairs...
there are a few separate entities under the same roof..
they have other parties there that do consist of 98% white folk in the electronic music scene and usually serve alcohol. Chances are that is where the guy was..Club Fathom aren't putting on these events, its always an outside promoter renting the facility..but the venue still has to take some responsibility for that!
As far as heavy metal music, there is a venue called The Warehouse that is across the hallway, they host all ages concerts and it is doing a great job of providing a safe place and allowing bands of all genres to perform! They have been there for a year, never have the cops been called for an incident with The Warehouse.
Club fathom and Mosaic church are separate in events, but the same as far as the folks who run them and pastor them. There is also a place that pays alot of money to be there and hosts all ages concerts and events called the Warehouse (www.warehousevenue.com)
They are great people and work hard at what they do.
I'm curious to know why the promoter who put on this event is not being held accountable for this? Club fathom never actually puts on the events, its always outside promoters who bring these "parties" in
All "Club Fathom" events should be shut down!!! That's a given I feel like, although there are other things under the same roof that are great for the community and for the teens of Chattanooga! The warehouse venue (www.warehousevenue.com) is an amazing place that i have been to a number of times, also River city Church and Mosaic church both meet there, and both are filled with great folks.
Also are there not laws that say that a non profit organization cannot serve or sell alcohol?? I think so!

Chattanooga's Mosaic Arts Venue falls short on city inspection
this sounds like a smooth move by the mayor...really sucks for the place.
Update: City of Chattanooga asks court to stop Mosaic event Saturday; judge to hold hearing Friday
