Would you also mandate the Federal Govt. pay back the gazillions it borrowed from Social Security - to everyone Fairmon?
Nice try. I'd say you had somewhat of a grasp on it....but you don't.
Some haiku - to compliment - a wonderful cartoon:
Self imposed crisis - Endlessly milked by the press. - Boxing match for nerds
Fiscal Cliff diving.- Lets hope there's something soft. - In the dumpster below.
”You lefties are transparent in your agenda.”
Just what is this ‘agenda’?
”How insulting to try and convince us that BO is just helping these "dreamers" along LOL What a thoroughly corrupt man and a corporate puppet BO is.”
” THE worst POTUS we've ever had, by far.”
I disagree. As corrupt and a corporate puppet Obama is (see below), George Bush was far more damaging. A true incompetent criminal.
You should look into his (Obama’s) nomination last week of Antonio Weiss to become Under Secretary for Domestic Finance; one of those Wall Street veterans who committed criminal acts that caused the 2008 financial crisis.
Maybe his immigration executive actions are to divert you from looking closely into this – among other nefarious activities – like the TPP.
“I have no respect for them at all. They don't deserve any. They're lawbreakers and invaders.”
Who is “them, they & they’re” Zableedofisterix?
This month’s elections illustrated dissatisfaction with the current course the country is taking. Voters used the midterm elections to put the United States back on a different wrong track.
We’ve been going down the wrong path for years, and now it’s time to get some new people in there who can lead our country astray in a different direction. The results showed that Washington D.C. needed an influx of new misguided politicians with their own terrible visions for the country to change the manner in which the nation is careening off course. And we bought into it.
It will take a lot of work to turn the country around and ensure a different type of corrupt vision, but I believe the newest crop, who have just as awful principles and ideologies as the last, will march into Washington and do it.
And if the outcomes can be used as an indicator, the majority of Democrats believed they had the biggest influence over changing the wrong direction of the country --- by not voting.
Storm clouds? Mr. Obama does - not - care. He only has a short time left to weather it. He stands proudly under his umbrella of unaccountability while the only ones getting soaked are you & me.
Re. Alprova's 10:27 post.
Thank you sir.
Clay: Pretty good cartoon today.
Could the reason Democrats bombed be that the
Democrats couldn’t differentiate themselves from the Republicans when it comes to...you know, things like, never ending war. Assassinations of US citizens without due process, which by gum, even 'Dick & his boy George' didn't do. More drone wars. AFRICOM expanded. Special ops forces expanded from 60 nations to 134 nations, worse than Bush. ZERO prosecutions of financial fraud. That the Federal Reserve was still bailing out Wall Street and the Federal government with over $800 billion in quantitative easing in the SIXTH year of a "recovery" is unprecedented in US economic/political history. And let’s not forget the expanded ‘Stasi’ security state. And on and on Ad Nauseam.
No, the Democrats would not speak truth to power and could not stand on their records in the Senate because - they didn’t have one. ”When you can't say, let alone fight for, what you believe in... why would anyone come out and cast their vote for you?”
Remember the words of Gore Vidal:
“There is only one party in the United States, the Property Party and
it has two right wings: Republican and Democrat. Republicans are a bit
stupider, more rigid, more doctrinaire in their laissez-faire capitalism than
the Democrats, who are cuter, prettier, a bit more corrupt -- until recently --
and more willing than the Republicans to make small adjustments when the poor,
the black, the anti-imperialists get out of hand. But, essentially, there is no
difference between the two parties.”
He said that in the 70's. See any difference today?
Nice job Clay.
You gotta admit, Thinkaboutit’s post at 3:12 a.m. makes a VERY good point; as does Fairmon with his, quote: "The American people will continue paying top dollar for a second rate product."
God you're an ass hole Conservative.
BEGONE - Back to the 13th century where you belong.
An interesting rant Volsam. Quite telling too.
The cafeteria conservative Christian clique rail constantly that ‘government doesn’t create wealth, jobs etc’ out of one side of their mouths, then out of the other side say the following, to which YOU are directly referring to some fantasy version of the USA:
”if you want to have a European, open border, socialist, system of Government instead of the [capitalistic form of Government which has created] the greatest prosperity in world history.”
And just so ya know, the United States – was not intended as, nor does it have now, a ”Capitalistic form of Government.”
Corporate Fascism on the other hand...hmm yea - we’re almost there. You like that better I suppose.
A little civics’ lesson is in order.
