Here is my opinion on the scanners. Americans gave up a piece of our privacy in traveling 10 years ago, and the only reason why people are so upset about the scanners now is because they've forgotten what its purpose is to begin with. If the scanners were introduced right after 9/11, they wouldn't have been a big deal; the majority would have wanted them in all the major airports. I would rather be screened every time I fly than have one more 9/11. We can't have both security and privacy; there has to be some give and take on both ends.
That's what I was wondering, rolando. If the suspect changed his clothes, wouldn't he have hidden the new clothes somewhere that could easily be accessed? Also, if he did change clothes, where are the old ones? I agree with you; I think the shooter got away.
I'm not a fan of country music, but all these comments are ridiculous. She's worked hard to get where she is and comments like these show just how rude people are. I hope she packs the Riverfront out and brings in more money than Riverbend has ever seen. She's from this area, and saying she's not good enough to sing on the main stage is stupid. If she's SO bad, then why don't you try to take her place?
TypicalRedneck -- That's a funny comment considering I'm from DC, have a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, and am currently in my 2 year of law school. Also, I'm not even going to comment on the fact that your name has the word "typical" in it, so I'm assuming you are your own stereotype.
Funny how we can get so much from Google these days. Even if there were signs of a car going off the road, there more than likely isn't any there now, 7 months later. Also, there is no evidence given to the public so far that her car being found off the side of the road was anything other than an accident. It is WAY too early for any type of theories about how she got off the road. CSI Syndrome at its best.
Massey -- What article are you reading? There is nothing in there about alleged charges. He was charged.
Also, you said a couple times that someone has to prove their innocence, which is wrong. The prosecution takes a case, and proves guilt beyond a reasonable doubt (for a criminal charge) and all the defense has to do is argue the prosecution's case. Defense is not required to prove innocence at all.
And, if you read previous comments and articles, you'll see that he's already been charged with child molestation. A lot of child molesters are repeat offenders. I HIGHLY doubt he was wrongfully charged....
Chattanooga mother charged in beating death of 4-year-old son
And I used to wonder why my dad said he'd run a background check on a boyfriend if I wanted him to...
This is SO sad. My heart goes out to the boys. I hope the 3-year-old recovers.

I was in Ethics class when it happened, and it was rather startling.

They have the right to "peacefully assemble." Having a peaceful assembly and having "illegal and lewd behaviors" are two different things.
