No problem with Wright, that's freedom of speech and religion. Desjarlais, was plain ole fraud, deceit, and adultery. Not to mention, he now has the possibility of losing his MD because of his adultery with his patient.

So you want them to give it to you, without you having to fund anything? That's sounds like b.s to me.

Erlanger is in the business to help. They've given away at least $50 mil per year in uncompensated care. All while Hamilton Co. & Chattanooga only assist with less than $5 mil in help. If you think this is unfair, ask yourself, if someone was hurt in an accident would you just allow them to die because they can't afford the treatment? We're not just talking about common colds, but killer accidents and illnesses.

As far as why they still run ads, they still have to compete with for-profit hospitals like Memorial and Parkridge - all who don't have to open books or tell the media about their problems. As far as TV time, it's relatively cheap in Chattanooga.

Is that amount only from Levi, the baby-daddy?

marathon, Erlanger only gets $5 mil. from Hamilton county. If you look at other safety net hospitals, they're getting $20 mil. The money they're using, is more than likely from the Federal funds they're getting for taking care of the over $60 mill of the area's folks who cannot afford to go to Memorial or parkridge
