The Humane Educational Society (Guy Bilyeu) has a "Feed the Animals" program. If you want to donate or need food, cedar chips, or dog shelter/house, they might be able to help. HES covers Hamilton County minus Chattanooga (McKamey) and East Ridge which have their own shelters. Call 423-624-5302 for HES. HES is helping keep the animals at home where possible. Perhaps other communities can begin a similar program.
