Only complete morons ban books. If the county school board did it then obviously the gene pool there needs some major outside contribution for a few generations. Really embarrassing.

So very sad. So young with so much still to offer. He was a true hero and idol for so many of us. Such a tragic loss. He will truly be sorely missed. I know many will say they saw this coming with his recent retirement, but this is so devastating.

Whoa. I'd be super reluctant to call anyone a "moron" when you make a blatantly specious argument equating unauthorized immigrants to burglars. Also saying we libs don't have a heart. are vote hungry and are mentally lacking? Also pretty mean-spirited and flimsy thinking there. And you're using this faulty rationale to condemn Ms. Trevizo and wrap us all up in some isolationist, mean-spirited policy, and to punish people brought into this country to do the work no one else wanted to do? This whole extremist position has become hard to watch and bear, and is frankly disappointing and even frightening for us "libs" who strive for this to be a more tolerant and just nation.

How on God's green earth you equate living in the South with wistfully forlorning a losing, 150-years ago, pro-slavery revolt?? Afraid that this is further indication of how warped your side is on this. Also not sure how in the world you get how Southern "loving history and heritage" somehow equates with pseudo-patriotically waving your swastika/stars and bars. Many Southerners oppose and work against these views. In addition to being divisive, these perspectives are frankly confusing, irrational and troubling.

Ask any self-respecting, enlightened individual and they will tell you that the Confederate's Stars and Bars is the basic equivalent of Hitler's Nazi swastika. The Germans have outrightly banned the swastika and many here agree with this, though no doubt, per your askew perspective, because they're all just raging europhiles.

Thank Buddha the Egyptians way-back-when weren't so afflicted when dealing with immigrants like Joseph, Mary and Jesus by these devilish racist beliefs. It looks like these isolationists' purported religiosity might well have never otherwise developed. All these anti-human statements made most of these commenters here are in so many ways wrong, cruel, sad and bent. Makes too many of us lament that you all are getting away with this.

The cartoon is super in that it shows how a bunch of "Saltine-types", aka, those of the "Caucasian Persuasion", are getting their "underoos" in a wad because demographics are running against them. Their time as the political and population majority is ticking and will hopefully end soon. "Anger" and "Fear" are no doubt just knee jerk reactions to denial of this reality. Great job, Clay.

Great cartoon, Clay. It's obvious that the old Dixie-crats are still somewhat alive and trying to keep their warped rewritten versions of history relevant and in the news. You know, the African American side of my own mixed up family has always considered the South's Stars and Bars to be little more than the American equivalent of Hitler's Nazi symbol. Reading some of these comments and seeing all the hoopla and bristling over proponents of celebrations of"Confederate History" makes me think they are sadly quite right.
