This was a good ball game, played by two class act teams. Hope the best for the Indians in the playoffs! As for the Eagles, they just get a early start on planning for the new season next year. Hold you head up high Coach Price, your supporters love you and your style of hardnosed play! Good luck next year!

Bottom line, every school that has success in sports "cherry picks" athletes! How many softball girls have been "relocated" to SD for that program? I dare say that even my program has "picked up" some players over the years. You don't win state championships in FB without a little help. RB was really good someyears ago, did ALL those players live in RB? Don't worry about it Bill, just come back and play hardnose FB and chalk this up on the board as a learning expirence! EVERYBODY that has been a winner has done it! I bet anything that some of Central, East Hamilton, and the Owls are in violation right now. Someone check em out, I bet you will be surprised! Go luck to the Eagles! See next year! Its been NICE having some competition in the area!!!!

Though Page will receive no severance, he will keep his retirement benefits accrued during his time with the city.

Does he qualify for a retirement after 6 years?

Dang your poor cops and fireman have to WORK for 25 years to receive a retirement.

We are not playing flag football or softball. This is football, it is a violent sport and tempers will flare at times. (the parent should be banned from coming to the games for a while) And don't have parents on the side lines! I love having "Wild Bill" around, he gives some other "real" programs something to do locally. Keep up the great work Bill, see ya week 5! You better be ready!

Lets not forget our firefighters folks, you have mentioned the fact the take home cars are given to the police to help with their horrible pay, what have the firefighter gotten lately? Nothing, they come in every morning stand over our family and protect us for 24 hours for low pay and benefits that keep just disappearing. The firefighters of Chattanooga haven't had a pay raise in 5 or 6 years (some did receive a "adjustment" some years back, a small percentage of them). But guess what they DO get every year, attacks on their pensions, lies, and a rate hike on their insurance. (I know that is just how it "works" in the economy) These folks (police and fire) took this job knowing they would not get rich and really love serving the City of Chattanooga and its residents, but how long can we keep kicking this dog without it just leaving and finding another place to live? I support keeping our protectors paid well and maintaining them some benefits so we can take care of them in their time of need! Put yourself in their shoes, work 25 years wising your mind could forget what your eyes have seen, and then after just 25 short years on the job, the stress and exposure begin to catch up with you and KILLS you. Yes kills you, our firefighters and police officers live with unbearable amounts of stress and exposures to things that kills them. This is the cold hard truth of being a firefighter or police officer; you are going to die earlier than most everyone else in society. So lets help these folks take care of themselves and their families like they have ALWAYS done for us.

This guy gives ALL firefighters bad names, this is why all firefighters should be paid professional firefighters. I am not saying a paid professional firefighter would not do this, I am saying that it more than often seems its a volunteer doing this not a paid professional. I am not saying they are not GREAT volunteer firefighters, they are.

I am from the South Pitt area and I think Bill Price is a quality coach. Wiedmer and this paper is slowing going to the dogs. First you (TFP)cheap shot his players in a cartoon and now this.

I agree with rosebud above, "The headline makes it appear that it's a compliment to Bill Price, then Wiedmer takes a cheap shot at him near the end. Nice going Wiedmer, you just scored some points with the new boss!" What a bunch of clowns!
