(1) Hoosiers vs. (2) Caddyshack - Touch choice but have to defer to the American Film Institute...Caddyshack is ranked #7 sports movie and Hoosiers #4....HOOSIERS

(1) Brian's Song vs. (2) The Natural - Sonny Corleone vs Robert Redford????...BRIAN'S SONG

(1) Rocky vs. (3) Field of Dreams - NO BRAINER!!!! ROCKY

(1) Bull Durham vs. (2) The Longest Yard - The nod goes to AFI's #5 sports movie of all time...BULL DURHAM

As a stand up Eddie Murphy was good, but no Richard Pryor...but not in the rushmore of comedians

Comedy Rushmore...Richard Pryor, Steve Martin, Don Knotts, and drumroll please Jackie Gleason...Stand up Comedy Rushmore is Steve Martin, Richard Pryor, Lenny Bruce, and George Carlin

Rocky in a split decision over Rudy

Field of Dreams run rules Hoop Dreams

Raging Bull TKO's Bull Durham

and in the biggest slaughter of them all THE ORGINAL LONGEST YARD puts in practice teamers to finish off He Got No Game

JMC...I beg to differ...Friday night was the first professional match for Gunner...he had not worked any matches prior...he will be going to the wwe in June for tryout...he did exceedingly well, there are two reports on local television websites 3 and 12 who were all over the coverage of this...

Well JG...been a little busy the last few days getting ready for a big event involving a former Mocs football captain...however, let us seed your rushmores....hobbs bracket 1. Major League 2. Bull Durham 3. Field of Dreams 4. The Natural...although Fear Strikes Out or Pride of the Yankees or Pride of St.Louise are better than the either the 3 or 4 seeds...Crew bracket 1. The ORGINAL Longest Yard 2. Rudy 3. Friday Night Lights 4. Brian's Song although I would have inserted North Dallas Forty instead of the 4 seed.

JG...I am a tad perplexed...was that a subtle slam at mr alright alright alright???...Let us remember that Tom Hanks (two time oscar winner) came from far more humble beginnings, his cross dressing days on Bosom Buddies...Pacino who also has won two is far beyond being lumped with Mr Days of Thunder...Tom Cruise has a big ZERO, and his acting chops are very questionable...plus he is a midget lol...Wooderson is a cult icon, uttering one of the greatest lines in cinema history..."That's what I love about these high school girls, man. I get older and they stay the same age." NINE MORE DAYS!!!!!

JG...there is much speculation regarding the women Mocs...as of this morning their RPI is 43...should disaster strike this evening, can you see them being the first non tourney winner from the SoCon to make the dance? Moving on the Wade's Bunch...is there a possibility although remote they could end up in one of the "other" post season tourney's? It is only 11 days until the debut of the next person who could have a fat head displayed at Mocs basketball

Another little tidbit for you to ponder JG regarding the man who was MJ before there ever was an MJ...A interview with Bill Walton who said that had Pistol been playing with today's rules with the 3pt line, etc would have averaged over 57 points per game at LSU...he was in a class by himself in college basketball...

The entire Petty family is becoming a huge embarassment to NASCAR...Hey Kyle!!! You are over 50 and still wear a pony tail, last I looked you were not the bass player for Bryan Adams, CUT IT OFF...You and daddy are looking like fools...Tony Stewart knows where the $$$ are, and they are with Danica...remember she won the pole at Daytona last year...did reasonably decent in the big track races...She will win THIS YEAR, BOOK IT, TAKE IT TO THE BANK...big props to Nick Tiano at Baylor, offered by the "U"...wonder if Butch is paying attention....

Michael Sams...who cares, dude can play...were it not for the local connection (Owen Seaton) with speed skating, would have never watched 10 seconds of coverage...it is another in the "who cares" category

Very simple on the Rushmore of bands... The Beatles...Stones (distant second)...Eagles...Led Zepplin

although some of the younger writers at ye olde TFP might list Kajagoogoo as the best...serious when you are #1 on the list of albums sold (The Beatles)and your closest competition (Elvis)is 40 million behind it does not take much to figure out who is the best...

Be watching for the pro rasslin debut of Gunner Miller next month.
