To say that paying a nominal fee to obtain a birth certificate in order to get a photo ID equates to a poll tax....What a stretch!!!
Using that rationale, I suppose the gas I used driving to the polling place yesterday could be called a poll tax.
BTW, I was standing in line and a person of color in front of me was asked for a photo ID. When it was my turn I was also asked for photo ID.....where's the discrimination?
alpo, who by the way is a registered republican, says "Which will stop exactly nothing."
Alpo says banning flights from Ebola hot spots will stop nothing. Uh, Alpo...how did Mr. Duncan get into the US? On a flight from Liberia possibly? What a stupid statement. Tell that to the two nurses and possibly more who were exposed to this now deceased liar who showed up for treatment. How many more Ebola infected peoples will show up from Africa now that they can get free health care in the US?
Must be time to panic.....Ebama cancelled a fund raising trip.
JD says.....Is a president known by his appts? Susan Rice is a lulu. As was Kerry. The new AG won't be appt till after the elections. Same as "clemency" for illegals. Mas Balls? Nada.
Exactly JD. Even the liberal media talking heads were discussing on one of the Sunday shows how Surgeon General Everett Koop took the lead during the 1980s concerning smoking and tobacco use. They had to find someone who worked for a Republican to use as an example (Joycelyn Elders...not!!!). Anyone know who the Surgeon General is now that we need leadership during the Ebola crisis?.....that's right we don't have one.

From "The Five Myths Of Ebola"
It could go airborne.
Yes, the virus is mutating — a recent paper in Science shows that more than 300 mutations have occurred. But what is now a virus that latches onto receptors outside endothelial cells lining the circulatory system won’t change into one that can attach to the alveolar cells of the lungs. That’s a genetic leap in the realm of science fiction.
Viruses mutate for two reasons: random error and natural selection. Random transformation from a virus solely adapted to infect cells that line blood vessels into one that can attach to entirely different classes of proteins found in the lungs borders on the impossible. Natural selection can overcome the impossible if great pressure is put on a viral population, forcing it to alter or die out. But in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea, there is no such pressure on Ebola: The virus is spreading readily and infecting thousands of people without any need to change into a radically new form.
Far more realistic and perhaps equally worrisome is that the outer coat of the virus — the parts that are recognized by the human immune system and trigger production of antibodies and killer cells that devour viruses — might respond to immune system attack by mutating their outer proteins. If Ebola made such an adaptation, it might mean that people who have survived the disease could be reinfected, and vaccines now in the pipeline could prove ineffective.
Alpo...you have demonstrated time and again you have awesome google skills.....well surprise!!! we all have that capability so spare us!!!

"I'm hit!!! I'm hit!! Oh the humanity...I'm hit!!"
If Plugs Biden was in a panic over Swine flu, wonder what he thinks of Ebola? Check out the video...
Biden would avoid subways, planes after swine flu outbreak
Check out what "Plugs and Caps" Biden said about the Swine Flu. Wonder what his advise would be for Ebola?
alpo, who by the way is a registered republican says.."I went to the hospital Sunday night. I ARRIVED home at around 2:00 A.M. Thursday morning"
So....no "population thinning" in Rossville, GA I see. Great to have good subsidized health care, eh Alpo.
Another label the world traveler.
alpo, who by the way is a registered republican, says "there is all kinds of overwhelming evidence to prove that the Bible is anything but God's word."
So, having said that, did the Bible have anything to do with leading you to Christianity and being a Christian?
