I wish they would discontinue the Heisman. It's rare that one player on a team stands out from all the rest. The voters seem to want to vote for an offensive player on a top 5 team. Ingram does meet that criteria. And if he was a media darling like Tebow, he would win for sure. But in my opinion, if Trent Richardson was the starter at Alabama, they would still be 10-0. I think the best player for Bama is Rolando McClain, but he plays defense. And Tebow is just a fullback that can throw. I don't think Ingram is even the best running back in the country, but he is the running back doing the best on a top 5 team. Just an opinion.
Its fun to follow, but you can't always go by the "star" ratings. I found this on Rivals from 2005;
top RB's for 2005 has Jonathan Stewart (Oregon) as #1, the only top SEC RB is #8 Roy Upchurch (Bama).
the top All-purpose backs for 2005 has #2 Darren McFadden (Ark) and #19 Felix Jones (Ark). I think both were considered better DB's than RB's out of high school. Also listed was #9 Montario Hardesty, #15 Todd Cox, & #17 Lucas Taylor, all from TN.
Two things come to mind. (1) Why does the downtown parking patrol need vehicles anyway? Hire another MM and tell them to walk around downtown. (2) The old saying is "You have to spend money to make money." not "You have to spend money to save money."
I'm disgusted with the whole thing. I read the 5 points of the stimulus package, all I'm eligible for is the extra $13 per week. That won't help my economy. If they would give each family $100,000 or so, I could pay on bills, get some things fixed around my home, pay off my mortgage, and maybe buy a new small car. Wouldn't that help me, you, and the economy? I guess not. Just give a few billion to a bank or corporation and they'll take care of us.
The bailout / stimulus plan is a joke. Politicians and CEO's got us into this mess, and politicians and CEO's will not get us out of it. Take the trillions and start at the bottom of the population, not the top. I looked at 5 of the key points of the plan on the front page, looks like all I can expect is an extra $13 per week. I feel better all ready.
Well, I've finally had enough of politics. I don't read anything but the sports page, at least if it's bad news in my opinion it usually isn't permanent. If there is a political message on television, I can't change the channel fast enough. I'll listen to the President of the United States when I hear him (or her) say, "I'm not here to make friends, I'm not here to get rich or make my friends rich, I'm not here to continue to be the head of the 'world police', I am here to do what's right for all of the American people and get this country back to where it needs to be."
Tebow bows out gracefully
I don't think crying on the sidelines could be viewed as "graceful". At least he could have put his helment on so we didn't have to see it.

Tennessee: Stimulus package could deliver thousands jobs for area
politicians and CEO's got us into this economic mess, and we expect them to have the right answers to fix it ?
What if half paid no taxes?
I don't have a problem in paying my share of taxes, my problem is having no say in how the tax money is spent.
Rant
Want an opinion as to how to fix the economy? Don't ask the politicians and CEO's, they're the ones that got us into this mess.
