Once again Wilby shows his complete ignorance of economics. Anyone who thinks the UAW had nothing to do with Detroit's demise is, well, an idiot. Of course incompetent and corrupt 100% Democrat leadership the past 50 years also played a part along with government worker unions. Wilby, if you don't like it here then you can always move back to Alabama where you belong.

Have to agree with the libs on this one. I had no problem with the headline but I don't sign Drew's checks, his boss/owners do. They set the guidelines and he evidently ignored them.

Great letter Jonquil. As I posted a few days ago he should visit the hood where all his supporters are.

Good ole Wally with his monthly diatribe. Geez he must lead a miserable life. Wonder if Wally will be one of the Democrat Myrmidons sitting on stage behind Owebama tomorrow?

Thank you John Eary for one of the dumbest letters of all time in this forum. I graduated from high school in 1965 and worked for TDOT that summer until going to college. On July 1, 1965, I started paying into the Medicare fund and did so for 47 years until going on Medicare in February of 2012. It was not a voluntary contribution but one required by law. Not only do high income seniors pay a Medicare surtax but every senior on Medicare has approximately $110 deducted from their SS check every month as a Medicare deduction. In addition to have full coverage one must purchase a Medicare supplement policy that can run several hundred dollars a month depending on what plan one chooses.

So see Mr. Eary, every since July 1, 1965, every person currently on Medicare has contributed to the plan. It is hardly a welfare plan. Now the subject of was Medicare set up on an acturaraly sound basis or a political basis is certainly up for debate. Unfortunately LBJ and all the politicians that sold the plan are long gone and not available for comment.

If black people who make up 13% of the population don't want to be profiled then they should quit committing 50% of the crime in this country. What everyone should be worried about is that our educational system is creating idiots like Rachel Jeantel.

Librul, don't see how you can call the Tea Party ,"racist." Allan West, Bobby Jindal, Nikke Haley, Susan Martinez, Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio are all minorities who are identified with the Tea Party and have been elected to office. I am not a member but I agree with many of the Tea Party positions. I don't think they concentrate on the social issues as much as the impending fiscal crisis we are facing. Agree 100% with you on Paula Deen. If anyone thinks there is not a double standard then just look at Alan Baldwins comments the other day. Anyone think Capital One is going to fire him?

Terry Stulce once again shows his ignorance of the facts in his diatribe against Dick Cheney. Cheney was never implicated in the Valerie Plame affair and his, "lackey," Scooter Libby, was convicted of lying under oath, not blowing her cover.

On September 7, 2006, Richard Armitage, Colin Powell's Chief Deputy, ADMITTED that he was the person who outed Valerie Plame in an interview with Robert Novak. Sorry Stulcie, once again we hate to confuse you with the facts.
