Did I miss when Skyboxer stated he was an officer with the CPD? I know that he mentioned a tactic that was employed by the now defunct Rampart Division of the LAPD in the 80s and 90's, but missed that he stated he worked here. I guess that Welcome_2 is just jumping to their own conclusions.
Also, the officers involved in the tragic death of Mr. Heyward were cleared by EVERYONE who looked at the evidence, including a federal judge whose summation of the situation was quite stellar. He pretty much stated when an officer tells you to put a gun down, put the gun down.
Officer Weary was working an extra job in uniform at the club/church (which does not have a beer license and does not serve alcohol) when this transpired.
Finally, how did this become the police departments fault? 400 people ranging from 15-25 at a "club" on Christmas Eve shooting at each other? I live next door to an officer who had to go in (even though he is off) at midnight and did not get off until 10 AM. He missed his children open presents because of this situation. It may be his job, one he does really well, but enough is enough.
