Saw an article last week that stated the savings... The cost was shared over three areas. $211,000 came from the Federfal stimulous funding, and the cities sustainability office, ( to lower the USA depenandcy on foreign oil.) $20,000 came from the City of Chattanooga, $20,000 came from the county. The annual savings on energy and mainteence is $57,000. $251,000 / $57,000 = 4.4 years ROI, and the savings is $604,000 over a 15 year period. ( estimated life fo the lights)

Not bad for spending tax payers money wouldn't you say?

the total cost to the city and county is $40,000 thats less than 7 months payback for the local tax dollars.... Sure wished we (tax payers) could fund more projects that pay for themseleves

Last week was a heart breaker! This week was a robbery!

The sportsmanship of the JSU team, coaches and fans was the worst I have seen in 30 years.

To put it in perspective, JSU, has become the modern day Tn State of the 1980's

I am 99% certain, the line judge and back feild judge held a combined family reunion and tailgate party before the game last night.

JSU was mugging our guys on the field, and not one flag all night! We even wittnessed one of our players getting run off the field and into the wall on the back side of the JSU sidelines.... and no Flag? come on ref!

The photo in this article confirms it all. A 4th down and short sitaiton, and the JSU player not only grabed BJ's face mask, he tried to put his eye out along the way. Other photos to follow would show that he ripped the helment off his head.... No Falg Ref?

You build expereince by over coming adversity. That being said... UTC showed all the signs of a young team rebuilding its program... We made mistakes that a seasoned team with confidence would not have made.. time will fix all that...

Now we are 0-2. BUT! We have proven we can play with the top ranked teams in the nation Ap State #3, and JSU #6.... I am certain to see both of these teams in the play-offs at the end of the season.

Chattanooga, and Moc fans, don't give up and quit on this team. I can asure you they are not going to give up!

One of the key ingrediance to rebuilding a progam is the fan based support, win or loose!

Hang in there players, coaches,Moc fans, and the times free press reporters, something BIG is in the works! Let's don't start jumping off the wagen. The city of Chattanooga Economy has a lot to gain from a successful UTC football program.

Knowing what kind of character Chip Saltsman (aka. Chuckabee Saltsman) is, I can see that he is capable of hating/destroying anybody who gets in his way, or doesn't offer to support him for the RNC chairman position in 2008, which is what Robin Smith did to get on Chuckabee Saltsman's“ I hate you List”.

A simple time line would show that it wasn't until Chuckabee Saltsman joined the Chuck Fleischman campaign, the negative ads towards Robin Smith start airing.

Chuckabee Saltsman was on Mike Huckabee loosing campaign team for the 2008 Presidential election. Perhaps, through his personal connections with Mike Huckabee, Chuckabee Saltsman arranged for Mike Huckabee to be paid for speaking to a private engagement, and just so happen to find time to endorse Chuck Fleischman while he happened to be in the area? Mike Huckabee is also now calling Chuck Fleischman his "Dear Friend". Did anyone ask Mike Huckabee how long he had known this dear friend, before the Endorsement? I beat it was right after the check cleared.

If I hear the commercial, "Robin Smith left the Republican Party broke", one more time, I am going to throw up! I am truly fed up with the twisted word games, meant to persuade the conservative voters who do not have enough accounting back ground to interrupt a single line item on a balance sheet during a thirty second commercial spot.

Has anyone asked, where did the balance sheet review come from? Do you think Chuckabee Saltsman could lay his hands on the accounting records for when he was in charge of the TN Republican Party? Perhaps we can give it a quick 30 second review too.

It’s Chuck Fleischman's campaign "consultant" who has high jacket the election for the 3rd district congressional seat and put it in the ditch with the negative campaigning that he is very well known for at this point.

This is the same Chuckabee Saltsman who personally produced and sent out as Christmas gifts, a CD containing a collection of humorous raciest songs, including Barack the Magic Negro, and the "Star Spanglish Banner". If you simply Google “Chips Saltsman, Barack the Magic Negro” you will find countless pages of news comments, and You tube video on the subject.

Does Chuck Fleischman know he is a puppet in Chuckabee Saltsman's personal battle he is waging against Robin Smith through the 3rd congressional seat election? He should, since he is paying for it! What's Chuck up to know $600,000 of his own personal money?

I do not think Robin Smith would want Chucakee Saltsman in her campaign as a "consultant", even if he offered to do it for free.

Folks, try to cut through all the negatives in the campaign, and see the candidates for whom they really are, and for what they stand for ON THE ISSUES!

Who will go to Washington to fight to represent us the way we want to be represented. I voted for Robin Smith because I know she can do the job.

"Fox News host Mike Huckabee campaigns here on April 28th on Fleischmann's behalf."

I am really surprised that Mike Huckabee would come campaign against another repulican, with similar political belieifs as his own (Mrs Smith)http://www.robinfortennessee.com/www/docs/1

Come on Mike, let your fellow republicans in the 3rd district pick our canidate to put on the general ticket.... then you can come down to TN and help us defeat the democrates.

Mr Fleischmann can't buy a local endorsement.

What did Huckabee cost you Mr Fleischmann?

Could UT-Chattanooga be an option? Two former UT players BJ Coleman and Chris Donald think so. We would love to watch Jacques Smith play college ball right here in Chattanooga!
