The problem you VW apologists have is that you just parrot the standard line given to you by those idiots on the Chamber of Commerce. I could not find one piece of independent evidence that these types of deals pay off. None of you even addressed the point Mr. Price made on VW. You just used insults because you don't know enough about it to have a valid opinion. $577 million for incentives was too much!!!!!!!! This is an all time, world-wide record for car company incentives. $250 million more than the closest rival (Alabama). What a great deal.
Nationally, the same "investments" in large corporations have been made and unemployment hasn't changed. Big banks, big labor, big car companies have been awash in federal cash. It has not worked. Why not at least let small business do it's thing.
Any Libertarian who thinks giving money to a large car company to lure it to a certain area is ok, it either a hypocrite or a fool. Corporate socialism is just another form of the government giving our money to someone they chose. Wake up.

timbo, I don't interpret that as a threat, just as bravado. I don't think it is appropriate, but I don't see where it crosses the line of the rules. He didn't say anything about seeking you out. However, I am curious as to why he says he knows what you look like. One of the consequences of revealing your real name. Thanks for posting it, though. I guess it will be up to the TFP to decide if I'm wrong and you are right.
