The constitution is clear on the speration of church and state. Every school that goes against the law is eventually stopped from public prayer. You can pray all you want, whenever you want, but not at public school games where not all players are Christians. Just because the school has been doing this forever and the local community agrees with it, doesn't make it right, or legal. It must be stopped now.

There are houses on both sides of Central Avenue, so I don't know how they can widen the road without buying out the houses.

There was nothing offensive about the shirt in any way to anybody. There were no curse words on it, nor was it political in any way. Marriage is gay in New York state and several other states and countries around the world. It was just a statement of a fact.

There should have never been a ban on gays serving openly in the first place. Anybody willing to serve our country if they are physically and mentally able should be allowed to serve if they want to. There have always been gays in the military, now the only difference is that they can serve without lying about themselves. The right used the same arguements about blacks serving in the military years ago, and when black citizens were allowed to serve, it didn't affect readyness or unit cohesion and neither will allowing gays to serve openly. This religious hatred and bigotry towards gays is failing and will soon stop.

I also am not an immigrant and I think the "In God we Trust" sticker should not even be offered. If they are going to offer that sticker, then they also need to offer other stickers for the oppsosing view. Keep religion out of government, it's the law.

Let's see, they were both 25 years old. They already had 5 kids, which was way too many to begin with. Haven't they heard about birth control or condoms. He has a rap sheet a mile long and probably pissed somebody off in the process. How do 7 people live in one of those tiny apartments in that fourplex to begin with. They are total trash, then blame the police??

Instead of just moving, they should just close. The place is a nasty, smelly dump. Let Hixson have it if they want it.

Dave, it appears the education system failed you since you don't even speak proper English. Maybe teachers should be paid even more. The correct verbage would be, "I for one am taxed enough already." Not "are" taxed enough already. Also, you should have written, "So where are all the funds raised by that???" Not "is" all the funds. Get an education before posting on here.

It's not only teachers. Who will the Republican attack next? The Republicans are destroying the middle class and the rich are getting richer. I'll never vote for a Republican, period.

I went every night this year. There were never any issues or problems. Friday night when Alan Jackson played was the most crowded, but it was still fun.
