'Pickle Sickles' are a hit at Warner Park ballfields

A little more than two years ago, Randy Carpenter wanted to create a cheap snack that also helps athletes. As they've come to be known, "Pickle Sickles" were born. With leftover pickle juice from the jar, workers pour the juice into small cups and freeze it. The unique treat has been a popular hit with athletes and their families at local ballpark concession stands. Workers say that the frozen treat can also help to relieve muscle cramping after a game.
