Chattanooga Red Wolves fall at Union Omaha

The Chattanooga Red Wolves lost 2-1 Saturday night to Union Omaha in Nebraska, falling to 5-13-5 and remaining 11th in the USL League One standings with 20 points.

Central Valley (5-15-2), which also lost Saturday, is still last in the 12-team league at 17 points.

Second-place Omaha (11-5-7, 40 points) won for the fifth straight match but produced only one goal, scoring in the 10th minute. An own goal by the Red Wolves made it 2-0 in the 66th minute.

Chattanooga avoided being shut out when Chevone Marsh put away a penalty kick in second-half stoppage time.

The Red Wolves will return to competition when they visit South Carolina's Greenville Triumph at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. After that, they'll host South Georgia at 7:30 p.m. next Saturday at CHI Memorial Stadium in East Ridge.
