A Pikeville, Tennessee, man is facing charges of aggravated assault and aggravated kidnapping after a brief investigation by state and local authorities.
Special agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Pikeville Police Department on Friday began a probe of an alleged kidnapping and assault in the 100 block of Southgate Lane in Pikeville, according to a press release from the TBI. Through their investigative efforts, authorities collected evidence they say shows that Andy Bickford, 50, assaulted the alleged victim and held her against her will for multiple days.
The investigation began following a request from Attorney General Courtney Lynch, whose jurisdiction includes Bledsoe County.
Bickford was arrested Friday night, the press release said. He was booked into the Bledsoe County Jail.
