Starting at 5 a.m. Saturday, East Brainerd Road in Chattanooga will be closed from Vance Road to Prosperity Lane for storm drainage installation, part of a larger ongoing construction project.

The temporary closure will remain in place until 5 a.m. Monday, the state Department of Transportation said Wednesday in a statement. The closure will allow construction crews to install the drainage structures and clear trees for the associated CSX rail bridge project in the middle of closure area.

The project contractor is Dement Construction Co.
