Hamilton Place Mall officials today marked the completion of a multi-million-dollar renovation of the Chattanooga shopping center.

Alan Lebovitz, senior vice president of asset management for mall owner CBL & Associates Properties Inc., said that the upgrade exceeded his expectations.

"It's fresh. It looks new," he said.

The renovations included a redesign of mall entrances and signs, upgraded carpet, paint and floor tile throughout the center, and a remodeled food court with seating for 450 persons.

The renovation is the second refurbishing of the mall since its 1987 opening.
