Man shot, killed in domestic dispute

31-year-old Ricky Shell pronounced dead at the hopsital

A man has been killed after getting into an argument with his mother's live-in boyfriend, Chattanooga Police say.

Ricky Shell, 31, was shot at some point during an altercation with 74-year-old Alfred Copeland at 3805 Arrowrock Road, police say.

Shell was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital and police took Copeland into custody on scene without incident, Sgt. Jerri Weary with the Chattanooga Police said.

Police are still talking to witnesses and gathering evidence, Weary said.
