East Ridge police arrest two on meth lab bust

Two suspects are being held on $25,000 bond after police found remnants of a methamphetamine lab in the trash can of their East Ridge home, according to a news release.

East Ridge police said officers arrested Michael Burchfield, 35, and Chasity McDonald, 32, Monday afternoon after responding to a call that residents at the Belvoir Avenue home were stealing power.

A narcotics officer and hazardous materials team investigated the scene and collected lab materials.

The two suspects are being held in Hamilton County Jail on charges of initiation of methamphetamine manufacture.
