Chattanooga FC ties Georgia Revolution

CONYERS, Ga. - The Chattanooga Football Club wasn't able to earn a road win against the Georgia Revolution on Saturday, but the visitors did pick up a key point in a 1-1 tie.

Chattanooga FC continues to lead the National Premier Soccer League Southeast Conference with 17 points, five more than the Revolution and Jacksonville United FC, which was off Saturday.

CFC (5-1-2), the defending Southeast champion, has two league matches remaining, at home against the Revolution (3-2-3) next Saturday and at the Knoxville Force on July 16.

The Revolution struck first Saturday, needing just three minutes to take a 1-0 lead. CFC forward Chris Ochieng tied the game in the 31st minute, and neither side was able to find the back of the net again.

Chattanooga FC returns to Finley Stadium on Monday for a July 4 game against the under-20 squad of CF Monterrey Rayados, which is making a three-match tour through Tennessee.

Monterrey plays the Knoxville Force today and the Nashville Metros on Wednesday.
