Lookouts, Smokies game suspended, tied 4-4

KODAK, Tenn. — The Chattanooga Lookouts and Tennessee Smokies had one long weather delay after a 2-2 first inning and another in the ninth with the score tied 4-4. Eventually the game was suspended.

The teams will resume the first game in the series at 5:15 this evening in the Smokies’ stadium and are scheduled to play again at 6:15.

Friday’s game was delayed for more than 2 hours and 20 minutes after a first inning in which each team scored twice. Hector Gimenez hit a two-run home run to right field to give the Lookouts a 2-0 lead, and the Smokies answered with singles by Brett Jackson, Ryan Flaherty, Blake Lalli and Matthew Spencer.

Michael Antonini (6-8, 4.23 ERA) is scheduled to start the full game tonight for the Lookouts, with Brooks Raley (5-6, 4.50) scheduled for the Smokies.
