Lookouts rained out

The Southern League series opener between the Chattanooga Lookouts and the Tennessee Smokies in Kodak was postponed two hours before the first pitch.

The two teams will play a pair of seven-inning games today, beginning at noon.

Chris Withrow (2-5, 4.86) and Will Savage (7-2, 3.39) are scheduled to start for the Lookouts, with Brooks Raley (3-5, 4.84) and Nicholas Struck (1-0, 2.12) scheduled for the Smokies.

Right fielder Kyle Russell has been invited to compete in the Southern League home run derby next Monday in Jackson. Russell is hitting .281 through 63 games and is tied for second in the league with 13 homers.
