Former Baylor School golfer Harris English will announce on Sept., 13 at Black Creek Club the he will join the Nationwide Tour.
The Children’s Hospital Classic on Oct. 6-9 at Black Creek Club — where English practiced almost every day in high school — will be one of his first professional tournaments.
“There’s a lot of win-wins here,” tournament chairman Mickey McCamish said. “He’s sharing them with Chattanooga, Baylor, the Nationwide Tour and the Children’s Hospital Classic.”
English is currently in Scotland representing the United States as part of the Walker Cup team which faces a squad from Great Britian and Ireland Sept. 10-11 at Royal Aberdeen Golf Club.
