Suspect arrested in May shooting death of Herbert Strickland in Chattanooga

Four months after a 53-year-old man was shot to death, Chattanooga police have arrested a suspect on a charge of first-degree murder.

Antonio Dejong Espey, 18, was arrested Thursday morning at 3501 Dayton Blvd. on an indictment from the Hamilton County grand jury, according to Chattanooga police spokeswoman Sgt. Jerri Weary. Chattanooga police officers, Hamilton County sheriff’s deputies and federal marshals cooperated to make the arrest, Weary said.

Herbert Strickland was killed on May 19 inside the Big K-Mart at 909 Dodson Ave. after a gunman wearing all black shot him multiple times. That death was the 11th of 20 homicides so far this year.

Why am I not surprised?? Another black person arrested for murder. I didn't use to be prejudice, and when it comes to black people on a global scale, I'm still not. However, when it comes to American black people, they have no reason or no right to be upset that people are prejudice against them, as long as a majority of criminals continue to be black. The black community should be ashamed of Antonio Dejong Espey. It is filth like this scum that continue to tarnish the reputation of what would otherwise be a blameless and faultless race. Why does prejudice continue? Because people like Espey continue to give honest people a reason to be prejudice.

Ok, so am I surprised to hear someone say things like chiyote? NO.. "You really sound like a child of God"(sarcasm).. You are not prejudice because of what another person does you are prejudice because thats the way you want to be. How is it that you can honestly say your this way because of another persons actions... You sound CRAZY... I need for you "CHIYOTE" and anyone else that feels the way you do to go into the bathroom, look into you mirror and point at the mirror.. If you pay close attention everyone of your fingers are pointing at you.... SO GET OVER YOURSELF, YOU ARE WHO YOU ARE BECAUSE YOU CHOSE TO BE WHO YOU ARE!!!!!!!!!
