Two incumbents will give up their seats on the Hamilton County Board of Education.
Chip Baker, who represents District 2, and Linda Mosley, who represents District 7, picked up papers to run for reelection in the August race.
But neither returned papers by today's noon qualification deadline.
Mosley, who was first elected to the board in 2008, said she's stepping down to spend more time with her young grandson.
Baker, who was elected in 2000, 2004, and 2008, said he felt it was time for some 'new blood' on the board. He said he'll back Signal Mountain dentist Jonathan Welch, who appears to now be running unopposed.
