Wrong... An AK-47 wasn't used in the Sandy Hook shooting. The rifle was a Bushmaster AR-15, and it was left in the car during the shooting. The responders on the scene only removed the rifle from the trunk of the car after dark.
You know this is what gives guns a bad name. A so called assault weapon was not used at all. This moron used pistols. If there had been an armed guard at the school he may have been shot before he had a chance to kill anyone.
Not that it really matters considering the outcome, but Mr. Lanza did indeed use the rifle. The point, however, is not the weapon he used, but the act he committed and the reasons for it. Those reasons are what needs to be addressed.
