The Shanks Center for the Arts in Crossville, Tenn., has issued a call for high-quality visual art, books, CDs and DVDs for its next gallery change. During February, one gallery will feature pieces based on the theme "Florals," while the other galleries will be open to any topic.

Works may be submitted for review 2-5 p.m. Sunday and noon-5 p.m. Monday (all times Central) at the Shanks Center, 140 N. Main St., across from the Depot.

The Shanks Center welcomes local and regional visual, literary and musical artists. Guidelines can be found on the CACE website, www.cumberlandart.com. The galleries and an expanded gift shop will be set up for a reception 5-7 p.m. Thursday.
