Rogers Joins Red Chair Architects

Chattanoogan Lauren Rogers has been hired by Red Chair Architects in Knoxville as a full-time intern architect.

Rogers is a 2010 graduate of the architecture program at the University of Tennessee and was a team leader for the University of Tennessee College of Architecture and Design Solar Decathlon.

Through this position Rogers collaborated with students and professionals of other areas, such as engineering and graphic design.

Wright Brothers wins award

The Tennessee Road Builders Association recently announced that Wright Brothers Construction Co., based in Charleston, Tenn., has won the 2011 Prime Contractor of the Year Award.

Wright Brothers specializes in bridges and structures, base construction, sewer and water lines, surfacing and bituminous paving, clearing, grading, drainage, excavation and landscaping.

It was selected by TRBA subcontractors, suppliers and associate members.

Siskin Center change made

The Center for Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics, previously in partnership with Erlanger Health System, will become managed and operated exclusively by the Siskin Children's Institute under the name of the Siskin Center for Developmental Pediatrics effective today.

The center will be affiliated with the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine Chattanooga.

The center opened in July 2009 and has provided services to more than 1,000 children and families with more than 5,300 patient visits just in the past year.

"There is a tremendous need for access to developmental pediatric subspecialty services in the United States as well as here in this region," said Dr. Regina Gargus, board certified developmental behavioral pediatrician and medical director of SCDP.

Beene announces new agency

After 15 years as an Allstate agent, Mitchell Beene has formed Beene Independent Insurance Agency at his former Allstate location at 5617 Highway 153 in Hixson.

"We represent top tier companies who market their policies though independent agents," he said.

Beene has been in the insurance industry since 1980. He is a graduate of McCallie School and earned a bachelor's degree from Mercer University.

Cruise named to forum

The Million Dollar Advocates Forum has named Chattanooga attorney Patrick A. Cruise as a certified member.

The Forum is recognized as one of the most prestigious groups of trial lawyers in the United States. Membership is limited to attorneys who have won million- and multimillion-dollar verdicts, awards and settlements.

Cruise is a graduate of Louisiana State University School of Law.
