Former health care executive Ron Harr will formally become the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce's chief executive on Oct. 1.
Starting Sunday, Harr joins the business group as incoming CEO, according to the Chamber.
On Oct. 1, Harr will replace Tom Edd Wilson, who will become CEO emeritus. Wilson plans to retire from the Chamber in early 2013.
Harr, who formerly worked for BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, was picked for the Chamber post in March.
