State Sen. Andy Berke, D-Chattanooga, announced today he would run for the top position in city government.
“I will be a candidate for the office of mayor of Chattanooga,” Berke said.
He made his announcement in front of a crowd of about 150 people at the Chattanooga Theatre Centre.
The election for Chattanooga mayor will be March 2013.
