Orchard Knob shooting victim was target, Chattanooga police say

A 25-year-old man was shot early Saturday morning in the 600 block of North Orchard Knob Avenue, according to Chattanooga police.

Stephen Strickland was walking on the sidewalk just before 5 a.m. when he was shot. His injuries were not life-threatening and he went to a local hospital in a personal vehicle, police said.

Police do not have any suspects but believe Strickland was targeted and the shooting was not random.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call the Chattanooga Police Department at 423-698-2525.
