Motorists are warned to expect a lane closure and delays at the intersection of U.S. Highway 41/State Route 3 and State Route 71 in Whitfield County beginning this morning, a news release states.
A Georgia Department of Transportation contractor will be milling and paving on the side roads, moving to the shoulders and then paving the main road, the GDOT news release states.
The work is expected to take a few weeks to finish and will require closing one lane between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. each weekday, the release states.
